Monday 26th July – Diesel Engine Maintenance:

 

Even the smallest diesel engine has a whopping replacement value of around $10,000 so if you want to hear some tips on how to protect your diesel engine to give better than expected longevity and reliability come along to the Diesel Engine Maintenance seminar Monday 26 July at 6:30 for 7pm start.

 

Some of the topics include:

• The importance of clean diesel fuel and how to keep and or make it clean including diesel bug – what is it and how to manage it,

• The importance of engine servicing and the potential results of omitting oil changes and

• The HOT results of omitting coolant changes.

• You will also hear tips on maintaining your electrical circuits,

• The importance of changing transmission oil, controls, maintenance mistakes

• And how to treat your engine.

• If you want to learn about diagnostic procedures we’ll cover that as well

• And finally you will hear some ideas & tricks to make bleeding a diesel engine easy.

 

The seminar is delivered by Ian Meikle, a Coastguard Inboard Engine tutor with 6 years teaching experience and over 20 years as a marine engineer. See you Monday 26th July.
