Heartland Institute = Koch Brothers. Nuff said.

Is that fact or fiction?  Where's the supporting evidence, you know the stuff you often call for from others?

If you like I can point you to the very spots that have what you need. I've already been there done that, it's climate change sussing 101.

Heartland Institute does not do science. Folks who think that they do would do well to avoid used car lots.

It's not the sun causing the warming either through Milankovitch cycles or sunspots, it's not from volcanic activity, it's not from more human bodies warming the place up, it's not from the earths center. So where is it coming from? Or do you think it's not warming at all? If so why are the glaciers melting and the polar ice mass reducing along with Greenland's?

Is there any viable alternative to CO2 that hasn't been exhaustively researched and discarded?

I had promised that I wouldn't buy another boat that didn't work, was broken, unfinished, sunk or that I hadn't seen.

US Navy predicts summer ice free Arctic North Pole by leap year 2016
The paper is highly critical of global climate models (GCM) and even
the majority of regional models, noting that "many Arctic climatic
processes that are omitted from, or poorly represented in, most
current-generation GCMs " which "do not account for important feedbacks
among various system components." In operation on this Planet

Last year Prof Duarte was lead author of a paper in the Royal Swedish
Academy of Science's journal AMBIO warning that the Arctic was at risk
of passing critical "tipping points" that could lead to a cascading
"domino effect once the summer sea ice is lost."

TO BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY PASS ON TO THE NEXT GENERATION THIS NON REPLACEABLE PLANET WITH A MORE CLEANER AND MORE PURER, TOXIC FREE, POLLUTION FREE ENVIRONMENT ALL BUSINESSES , CORPORATIONS, GOVERNMENTS AND CITY ADMINISTRATORS MUST ALL REALISE THAT THEIR NON ACTIONS, THEIR DELAYING DECISIONS AT PRESENT HAVE A GREAT DEVASTATING EFFECT ON OUR PLANET EARTHS FUTURE SO THEY MUST ALL MAKE A MORE DETERMINED EFFORT TO PRESERVE THE AIR MASSES, WATER, FLORNA, SEAS, OCEANS, WATER MASSES, WATERWAYS, RAIN FORESTS, NATIVE FORESTS THAN WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN DOING AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING NOW.

I heard a story that some Chinese interest was buying land in Iceland for a deep water port to handle the increase in traffic expected through the NW passage.?????

Does it even matter WHY the ice caps and glaciers are melting - plainly the fact that they ARE is what is important.

Certainly, if there is anything we can do that MIGHT make a difference in retaining the greatest biodiversity that we possibly can on this non-disposable planet, our home, we should be doing it.

It is almost like all this debate over who did or did not do what is just a smoke screen to keep the non-sentient inhabitants of humanoid bodies happily removing and replacing rather than repairing . . .

http://en.wikipedia...._change_science

It's from wikipedia so some might want to get their tin foil hats out but it's interesting how far back CO2 was identified as a significant greenhouse gas and mans contribution to the release of it. In 1896 a guy worked out that doubling the CO2 would increase the temperature by 5-6C and halving it would induce an ice age.

So KMm what do you believe? Is it not happening or is it something that is either being ignored or is it something undiscovered?

Megwyn, yeah I think it does matter that we know what is causing it, if we don't know we can't fix it (if it's fixable).
