It's that time of year, where everyone empties out the boat of the go fast gear, puts in the squabs (if it's a racer) and stocks up for the typical NZ boatie break.

Who's off to where, this year?

We only have a few days at a time, so will be in the gulf, maybe the barrier for a few days. If you see Island Time, come over and introduce yourself!! Might be a few spare cold ones!!

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats

Cordite has sold now so im currently boatless. Tom has very kindly offered us the Pork Chop for the holiday as he is not using it. Pretty stoked with that as she is a minta.
We are heading to the Mercs and outside of the barrier if the weather cooperates. Hopefully getting away christmas day or boxing day to the corromandel or bottom end first.

Out of Whangamata for our annual 3 month aimless cruise, departing in a few days time. Will go anywhere and everywhere so long as the breeze is not on the nose.

That Tom is a good man, he saved us a couple of timers.

Just arrived at GH after a delightful few days coming down from Opua. Xmas dinner in the house then down to the boat and see which way the wind is blowing.

Two figures sat side by side, staring at the Sea. One said to the other, “You know that one day we will die.” And the other friend replied, “But all of the other days WE WILL LIVE!”

Sold the boat last Sunday so will just enjoy being boatless and at home by the beach, and maybe checking the net for second hand multis that may be very negotiable ,or even a campervan!

Surely Ex TL, things are not that bad! You know it goes Sailboat - Motorboat - MOTORHOME - Rest Home, right? A campervan is looking decidedly like a motorhome.... :-)

Merry Christmas Everyone, Have a safe holiday!
