markm 30
Noticed a couple of news items doing the rounds at the moment on the Global Ocean Race (2-handed, RTW in class 40s) that N.Z. has two entries. One, a BTBoats 'team' boat, BTBoats being the people behind the Farr designed C40s which Cooksons are working on. The second being a campaign preferring to remain anonamous but described as a up and coming young professional yachtsman. Pleasing to see N.Z. getting into the class 40s and the rtw stuff, anyone admit to knowing any more or able to comment on whether the entries are 'hopeful' or serious, ie, pretty definitely going ahead? Murky 1
An outstanding effort if it all comes together. The second being a campaign preferring to remain anonamous but described as a up and coming young professional yachtsman. You would have to imagine that their expectations of anonymity would be fairly short-lived as the list of people fitting that description - while reflecting great credit on a country of NZ's size - is not endless.
