anyone notice the new Triangle flag resembles the "new All Black Haka formation" which resembles the shape of the Adidas logo...

And all this appears at the same time...

freaky! :-)

I don't really care which new flag we have, just that we have a new flag and that is should be unique and identifiable.

When offshore cruising (and not just the south pacific) anyone who isn't a kiwi or a aussie most likely first identifies you as an Australian boat or secondly an English boat or simply they have no idea. So what is the point of being proud of a flag nobody else recognises!

From reading the comments of Stuff it would seem most kiwis are happy with the existing flag. Maybe Kiwis need to get out more!

The Red Peak thing only got the traction it did as JK originally said No to it. I'd say 4 out of 5 of it's supporters were only supporting a 'Feck you JK' symbol and not what they genuinely think is a viable alternative flag.

I like being confused as a Aussie, it's one of the best lead in's from which you can use comments and phrases like -

'Do I sound like I have a shrimp jambed up my nose?'

'Do I look like a racist?'

'On ya bike, I am not from the earths biggest nation of bludgers'

'No sorry, I can understand what my wife says when she speaks'

'Do I look like a roger Koala bears up the botty?'

'Do you really think I got a hangover this size from drinking that weak as Kangaroo piss Aussies call beer?'

And many more :D

I don't care what flag we have so long as it doesn't have a white feather look-alike on it.

I'm happy with the current one, especially while the alternatives appear to be a choice between a thugby sports emblem or national transit logo...

Erice, I actually prefer the dated NZ Rail logo, but not for a flag.

I was thinking about that flag last night.

I wonder if it was in the 3000 others rejected?

That is a winner right there!... it is perfect!
