I'm happy with the current one, especially while the alternatives appear to be a choice between a thugby sports emblem or national transit logo...

Which one do you reckon is the rugby one? I hope you aren't thinking of the B&W Fern one, the same fern all NZ reps use including 100's of us who have been International NZ yachting reps over time.

I see the current flag and all it invokes (to use a trendy word at the moment) is a mantle piece in Coronation Street and the last time I saw any Coro St would have been decades ago so the invoking must run deep.... if its even a word ;)  I didn't give a rats about the fag or changes but due to some recent stupidity I think I now do.

I reckon we change the flag at at the same time allow NZers to be NZers in the eyes of all things Government and much of big business. As it stands today I can be a Maori, Fijian, English, German, Brazilian and just about any nationality I want except for a New Zealander. If I go to Germany their government will call me a NZer but my own Govt wants to call me a German, French, Dutch or something from Europe as they always say I'm 'European'. Europe is a gazillion miles from here and a gazillion miles from where I was born, what I associate with and where I live. It's been a constant niggle of mine over many years and it's going on today with a Govt Dept. I am refusing to sign a form as every time I fill it out NZer they change it to European so I said 'F**k off, I am not signing something that isn't true. They are not amused and getting shitty and to that I say good bloody job!!!

How are they going to adapt these flags if the vote for a new is adopted, which I hope is not adopted. Big expenses for some. The flag makers will make a packet. I wonder when it will be time to buy shares with the official flag contractor.

Seen the proposed cheap Chinese version at the $1,2,3, dollar shops to wave.

They look cheap, nasty, repulsive, and bloody horrible.

Image a stadium waving and international viewers viewing.

I can image what the catch cry will be "those cheap, nasty kiwis again" "don't they have any class when they go abroad to try improve their cheap violet, face pulling like little kids image"

I finally picked a winner

More people voted to spoil their vote than actually voted for the flag chosen
