Wet n Forget, Spray & Walk Away etc to keep your boat decks clean?

Recommended Posts

Funny I got some wet and forget as the boat decks were starting to go a bit green. The instructions said it had to dry out for 4 hours so I never got a chance to use it. Ended up just washing the decks with salt water straight from the sea. Job done.

Freshwater algae doesn’t like salt water, as you’ve found out. I was thinking of just doing the deck with a bucket of salt water but the salt from PnS would be more expensive than the disinfectant. It’s unbelievably cheap and smells nice too.

I get great results from Move It.

Dilute ,sponge on and leave or apply with spray bottle.

Not caustic and fabric safe, great on teak deck, sails, sheets and covers.

Have not applied to wife but pretty sure it would be effective.

Why would you want to buy salt to make salt water, last time I looked the ocean is not a bad place to start.

Go for a sail and clean your boat the natural way.

I must admit, a year later and my patio deck is horrendous again. The stairs came up pretty well a couple off weeks back with naff all effort, I'll get back to cleaning the deck again someday soon.

Then again, I should get on to the fireworks burn marks on the other steps, too.
