We had a slow capsize in our ACC boat during training on Bermuda’s Great Sound on Saturday afternoon. All crew are safe and unhurt… 1/2.

2/2… initial indications are that damage to the boat and wing is minimal. More information will be released in due course.

and the masthead touches at almost zero fwd speed

 

yes

 

but there are other kinds of "capsizes" 

 

much more violent

yes, the ac multis seem too big to capsize - tip over other than slowly

 

unless things break, like a foil, beam or kingpost

 

things could happen pretty quickly then if you were doing 50kn
