children

view the world in black + white

as they mature

they realise it's an interplay of infinite shades of grey

surprisingly enough

with no

pure blacks or whites

TAX - good or bad?

THEFT -  good or bad?

PRISON - good or bad?

POLITICIANS -  good or bad?

COMMUNISM - good or bad?

CAPITALISM - good or bad?

good luck answering those binary questions and not looking like an idiot

In retrospect Sandy Hook marked the end of the US gun control debate. Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over.

that's a relief - I'd hate to think that they could actually come up with a policy that would have an impact of any kind!

I thought the wording was fair and objective . .

such as this one . . "keeping public assets to provide long-term income vs. selling them to reduce national debt?"

to what did you object?

Yeah like that Labour Party Doris that rallied hard against asset sales but as soon as she got the Christchurch mayoralty started hocking off the silver

Or phil goff about to sell grandma in Auckland

Choosing a boat based on resale value is a bit like picking a girlfriend based on how desirable other guys might find her after you break up.

Thing is, and I think erice has touched in this, is that it is dead easy for a party to promise something, but not provide the how and when. We saw this in the House build argument between Labour and National. Nat said 3500 homes in a year. Later they downgraded that to 1000 in the first year, and maybe the same for the yr after till they get things ramped up. Little said they would build 10,000 homes. But what he didn't say till pushed on it, was that this was over 10yrs. So while he put Nat down, in the end he was no different.

By doing the quiz you may get a surprise.
The results for me are the exact way I will be voting.

Well Feck Me, that didn't help at all. I'm sitting around 75% for all the parties except for Act, where I'm at about 60.

Top 5 parties within 2%.

I'm still undecided 😊
