2000 plus Tongans protesting in Queen St.
Lost a footy match and voila massing in numbers to pack a collective sad.
Weird world.

Agree entirely. I think NZRL could take a look at what Tonga have achieved. Maybe they need to have a bit of passion instead of cheque books. I played the game for 18 years and am disgusted in the Kiwi performance.

If the Tongans did, then they need to be shown the rule book. Because it was very clearly lost forward before the try, so there was no allowable try.

The question is around if the tackler striped the ball, or if the runner lost it in the tackle.

If the tackler striped it, then it should have been a try. The tackler's hand did contact the ball.

 

There is enough there for a bunch of extremely passionate, slightly tribal and somewhat fiery supporters to get fired up about.

 

There is certainly no hindsight saying the call was wrong. All commentators (I've read) say it was the correct call.
