Tazzy Devil 18
I’ve got a Vulcan 7 and was wanting to add a transom Mount fishfinder transducer That can plug into the Sonar port. It says it can be done in the manual but I can’t seem to find any info online as to what Transducer will fit/work, was thinking a lowrance or Simrad might but the ATL guys say no. I don’t want anything fancy, just a transom Mount on a suction cup that can be deployed whilst fishing. Depth and speed com from the through-hull transducers already. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone done this already?
Island Time 1,227
The lowrance and simrad ones are exactly the same. What Max depth are you looking for?
Island Time 1,227
Here is the offical note on the dealers spec page: Integrated CHIRP / DownScan / ForwardScan. Single 9 Pin Xsonic connector. Connection to any external sounder module is not supported. So I’d recommend, unless fishing deep If fishing deep, then perhaps XSONIC AIRMAR TM185 HW TM185HW Wide Beam, CHIRP, $1560 rrp incl. Sorry I’m away til 19 Jan, could not supply one myself until then.
Winter 42
I have the same question, but for the Zeus2, which doesn't have a sonar port. I already have speed/depth/temp.
Island Time 1,227
Then winter, you need to add a sonar hub to your Ethernet system. RRP $1039 incl. this gives you the same options as above, plus the blue connection transducers - totalscan, structure scan etc.
