Deep Purple 511
Very cool boat. Sounds rediculously cheap but these days who knows
Black Panther 1,566
Glass over ply? Is that right.?
Vorpal Blade 89
D28's are great cruisers, if you go down this path you will find you have double the internal volume to use than the Cav, and its quicker too as a bonus! "Your" one is not as nice as this one - https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/boats-marine/yachts/keeler/auction-1518895386.htm?rsqid=f14a1f579f39424489b8221e9596fada but I know this one as it hauls out in our local boatyard I have seen the love ($$) it has received in the last few years. If you have the time to "invest" the cheaper one could ultimately be this one, or cost up your maintenance and out of the water time and see if its not better actually buying the more expensive one with the stuff already done. Vorpal Blade 89
AFAIK D28s were glass hulls with ply/glass cockpit, decks and cabin top. There was possibly a mold built for a glass cabin/cockpit very late in their production cycle.
muzled 140
23hp Kubota (on VP's suggestion) would be better than a 10hp Bukh no?
harrytom 640
10hp is not enough, the old had a 10. Went north on Sunday, rang owner he sang praises but very disappointing, went further north and again disappointing.Wish owners were just honest and not post photos from 2 yrs ago. Will go and have a look but no rush,Saturday might end up in Coromandel,on trade a boat there is a trogan 750 keel version.Looks rough but $$ seem right. Failing all else might repay some debt or fiance number1 in to varsity .
harrytom 640
Went and viewed the D28,Hmm like VB stated keep looking, wont go in to whats right or wrong, but if you got for $5k and spent $10/15k you would a good yacht which means buy one at $25k going sailing!. So now next Saturday going to make the trek to Coromandel ,have spoken to the owner who does not want to sell but needs too for reasons explained to me.
