SMU's track suggests 2 options, a horny seal or someones had a liquid lunch :)

Opps, SMU could be out.

TRex's track goes straight over SMU's who has now gone dark...... or sunk, bugger! :)

I see the RO, the man with 100's of girlfriends, is at barrier and probably 1/2 cut already :)

SMU has decided to withdraw. Seal hunting a way better option than playing silly buggers trying to get back from barrier to whangarei. Great sadness on boat but good luck to all participants.

11 boats started tonight
6 still racing in long haul, Gale Force still leading and halfway up the back of barrier hard on the wind but laying and smoking

Long haul course shortened
Poor Kight has been dropped to get them in hopefully before worst of weather
So now it’s Great Barrier to port, Sail rk to port then to finish in Nagles cove

And no not under the weather yet
Tomorrow’s another story

While the finish will be great buzz I don't envy the boats getting to it in this weather.

I hope everyone is and stays OK.

Long haul, Gale Force across first, then Copellia, then Karakatoa great work everyone in difficult, variable conditions....

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats
