Crosby, I wonder if they have Canada marked on them and I've assumed martyr. Anyway , very useful and I'm glad I planned ahead and had a couple on board. Took me years to need/ use them.


PWB chain,ah yes... Thats it. Its had its regalv once now so its up for replacement some time too.

 Yes the snubber claw hook  gets hooked on well inboard of the fairlead upside down and then we run the chain out over the wheel pretty fast while feeding out/ braking  the actual snubber line. Works like a dream and less point loading than a standard hook.

 One of my excellent purchasing decisions i use as a counterpoint to many of the not so good .

PWB is good and if it's been regalvanised in NZ it is most likely fine to be regalvanised again, assuming wear hasn't got at it excessively. NZ galvanisers tend to be on their game so they don't over cook things like some of the more shonky places can. It's that over cooking that is a worry for chain.


Yes those Claw type hooks are good.
