Pretty much everything is registered one way or another.
Gives new immigrants jobs along with revenue grabbing for the Council issuing parking infringements on The Lords day.

No evidence that licensing or registration has changed anything in those places it has been implemented.

May not of change seamanship or lack but launching ramps etc have improved from registration.

You race a yacht needs to be registered so whats the problem?? behave and there is no issue.

I didn't know you had to be registered to use a launching ramp?? Details please.
I don't race therefore not registered. In the process of getting offshore registry to travel offshore.
Last time I was in Florida on a friend's boat we were stopped three times in 1.5 miles by three different branches of law enforcement. Bugger that.

Still seem to be a lot of bad accidents on Sydney harbour. Registation hasn't stoped that

You can take a fiz boat owner to small claims court and charge them for a spilt breakfast and burning your finger. No Goverment official is going to be able to help you out. Unless as you say we pay more taxes.
