How come Auckland City has become plastered with cycleways with no cyclists in sight.

Now you can drive to the gym park your car and ride your cycle wtf.

Was he pissed off because the punters on the bikes would be in town about 20 minutes before he would?

Oui, I like cycleways thank you.

They would be far nicer if those tight arsed bastard who buy bikes with no motors were banned from them though.

Why dead?

Because 8-9 of them took up the same space a car with one person in it would but they're not a car and they shouldn't take up that space?

To me the photo Puff's mate took looks exactly like the kind of sheite the herald would publish to get some clicks and generate some hate.

I'd say that photo is two separate groups of by cyclists, the group on the outside is travelling faster than the one on the left and thus they're overtaking.   20 seconds later and they'd all be single file again.   But that'd make a boring as f*ck photo...

I've seen cars do that manoeuvre quite often, and no one seems to lose their sh*t over it...

I've never understood why some car drivers get so hot under the collar about cyclists. I drive a car and have never been hit by a bicycle.

As a touring, commuting, exercising and full time bike user I feel entitled to say that very often the 'holier than thou attitude of many cyclists who feel entitled to fully occupy a lane pisses me right off. Wife and I always ride single file and we keep as far to the left as possible so as not to impede traffic. We have noticed over the last year or two a huge improvement in the consideration that motorists extend to cyclists in terms of safely sharing the road and it's a great pity that some cyclists do not feel inclined to reciprocate.

Isn't that a cycle lane on the footpath?
