Fish 0
Would the classics pass scrutineering for a race like that? What is the RNI, Cat 2? be bloody hard work throwing one of those boats around 2 up, would it even be possible? Do they have winches even? assuming self steering wasn't around then, unless you count a bloody long keel and balancing the sail trim as self steering... Maybe they'll go for something a bit more modern, perhaps a Murray Ross design, something around 9.3 m long, and get Yachting Developments to refit & turbo it, and re-launch it, just to prove it can be done. Anyway, I think it goes to show just how iconic the Round North Island is, when a pro Volvo sailor lists it on the things to do after racing around the world in what is supposed to be the premier international ocean sailing event.
