It was'not BP that robbed you.It was your beloved Socialist Guvmit lead by Comrade Cindy as she "equalises" NZ. That is takes from rich and poor alike to fund her trough and drag the rest down to the lowest common denominator

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Theodore Roosevelt

Unfortunately high petrol prices mean high everything which hurts the very demographic she's trying to help.

BP is a good company and spends gazzillions, hence is a bit of a world leader, in green energies, specifically Solar.

It gets huge government grants, subsidies and all manner of goodies for it's green technology R&D and roll outs. Years ago they realised green technologies are very expensive and there would have to be huge support to get them up and running and to make then cost effective for the punters to buy so they went big time into green, way before King Al started on his wealth generation and transfer by CC fear mongering campaign.

The taxpayers of the world coin being poured into 'green' is massive, humongously so. Tesla wouldn't exist of not for massive subsidies, nor would most solar or wind farms, just to name a few. If Winston allows the Greens get their way the NZ taxpayer will shortly be paying a lot of money to corporate big wigs in a effort to make battery cars cost effective for the average punter to purchase and run.

Also probably another huge pile into wind and solar shortly. I see the builders of those saying they are pulling the pin due to resource management issues and poor returns. But if there was subsidises...............

When I flew over (alongside, flying direct overhead is a no no) Marsden Pt last week it was going hard judging by the near jet engine like exhaust stack output. Sh*t loads of liquid dinosaur being produced so go for it, slam that right foot dawn hard, lets get rid of this cold weather faster ;)

So, how is everyone getting on after their surgery? Recovering are we? Must be pretty painful removing the funny bone as well as the humour gland, but its far more painful having to listen to a bunch of whingy whiney conspiracy theorists and anti govt ranting :)
