Can anyone help.... need to estimate boat weight...

Smithy is probablyb the better one to answer this. But it depends on the way it is measured. If Load cell, then very accurate providing it is calibrated and how many decimal points. If hydraulic, pretty darn accurate, just dpends on resolution of guage. Anything else and close but not highoy accurate. All close enough to give what you need for general boat weight though.

You could use the "Crew" loadcell if we canb ever get it back from Jono. It is only 5000kg and you would have to stop lifting if the weight got close to that.. You still need a crane though, and lifting gear, all brought back to a single point.... A single loadcell is the most accurate way. Some travellifts have electrical loadcells which should be pretty good, within a kg or so. The hydraulic pressure type measuring systems will depend very much on how they are calibrated.. No guarantees there!
