Dtwo 157
I had a look at the Cat rules from 09-12. There is more specified in there about these things, although they quote a NZ Standard and then state that they are not permitted to publish the Standard.... There is part of the Standard quoted, which in part reads: "It is strongly recommended that a gas detector be fitted as standard equipment and is armed at all times when the gas bottle is turned on" So there you go. I hope it isn't just me that gets frustrated at the way bureaucracy is going these days. Basically they say "you have to meet this standard, but I can't tell you what it is". It costs hundreds, likely into the thousands to buy access to the electrical reg’s for boats, but the time you by the standard and all the others it references. Then the rules say something along the lines of, you can’t print out more than 10% of the standards you own, any thing printed must be destroyed after 7 days, anything downloaded must be removed from computer within, I think, 1 month. Astounding.
bigal.nz 59
Does anyone have a short end off cut (1m) of the gas detector cable? Ours wasn't quite long enough. Looks to be 22AWG 3 core tinned (Belden 8443 AWM 2576). Cheers, AG
