rigger 47
I recently went through my old 3.5inch discs and fully 75% were stuffed, could not be read fully. I hope your disc is ok, unfortunately I do not have a drive for the 5 and a quarter discs..
Mothership 6
We may be able to help; we've got both drives in storage. I'll get them out and see if they're still in functioning order.
SloopJohnB 323
Wasn't the 5 1/4" the version after the slate and chisel model.
rigger 47
Wasn't the 5 1/4" the version after the slate and chisel model. I think it came after the 8" model???? which came some time after the punch card
Guest
Is that anything like an LP?
col j 0
i think so squid. small thin LP in a square cardboard sleeve that used to fit into computers. vaguely recall seeing one in a cleanout about 18 years ago when i was 5...and it was old then. think the 3 1/2 inch floppy was the next 'technology' they came in plastic. Tiller 2
actually its truxton design copied on to the floppy 23 years ago by digby taylor so maybe too old. someone wants to build one out of carbon have to dig out origional drawn plans on the stone tablet.
