CarpeDiem 430
Hi boat tech people, Should I be able to see Heel angle from an RC42 compass on the NMEA network? I can't find it anywhere in the settings... hoping it's a different name? Solution is Triton2, AC12, Zeus2, RC42 Thanks
Island Time 1,230
No. Rc 42 is a rate compass, no roll pitch yaw, you need a precision 9 for that.
Kick Ass 47
No. Rc 42 is a rate compass, no roll pitch yaw, you need a precision 9 for that. Awesome, we have precision 9. Will have to setup heal angle.

Island Time 1,230
Hell yes. Its the single best update you can do without replacing the entire AP. Much more stable steering, as the precision 9 outputs heading corrected for roll pitch and yaw, and is ALWAYS accurate to within 2 deg, regardless of vessel motion.
