Hi,

I have a question for the Farr 1220 or Farr Phase IV owners - are you able to keep them on a 12m marina berth, or do you have to go next size up?

cheers

I cant speak for those particular boats, but in my experience sizing comes down the the specific marina and its management.

My boat is 12.8m OA and some marinas will let m on a 12m berth, others (Westhaven, Opua for example) will insist i take a 14m.

It would pay to get the exact length OA and call the marina

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats

Westhaven wouldn't let us on a 12m (even though there are 1220s there on 12m berths), currently in a 14m at HMB.

Hmm. That extra .2 of a metre makes it a bit costly then

Not all 12M berths measure 12M some can take a longer boat and not overhang which is what you need

In the marine village at GH we have a couple of 1220s on our 12m berths. Generally cheaper than the public marina, but perhaps not quite so convenient for parking etc. If your interested in that, phone steve law, our marina manager, 021457268.
