Guest
9am-Begorrah 5620- Its 9am and we re coming up the harbour to the startline. Not much windStunning day though. Sailing isn't life and death; Its more important than that.
Guest
Looks like TVS are running live tracking and wind telemetry through Predictwind.com Link here http://play.vodafone.co.nz/teamvodafone-sailing
Guest
10.30 Whatever - well we have started - if you could call it that. If it wasn't for the tide helping we would still be under the bridge.
Guest
Not a breath between Whangaparaoa and Rangi. Start photos coming soon, Plus a number of boats have trackers, unfortunateyl not all on one site but I'll look around and try and find links to as many as I can. Whatever - we have a fishing line and lure but we are going too slow........

Tubthumper 0
Looks like the TVS tracker with photos has lost interest too. Can you go too slow to fish?

Guest
Rigger is on the Devonport Wharf with his camera and has just reported (1133 ) the last boat past. TVS went by about an hour earlier.
Guest
Open Country reports doing a couple of 360's and send their thanks to Fullers.
Fish 0
Anyone know how to make any sense of that tracker website? Any time I click on somethign it takes me a tracker parked in Tauranga, either that or a large number of numbered dots without boat names...
Guest
I'm assuming the one in front is Vodafone
Fish 0
I'm assuming the one in front is Vodafone Nah its probably one of the Birdsall's, either Arathusa or Pterodactyl Those Birdsall's could take Vodafone any day At least thats what I'm hoping. TVS can go set a new record, the real race is back in the pack
Fish 0
Jokes aside, the tracker shows boat 7409893 in touch with boat 7459182, the times are 4 min behind Pterodactyl is 7409893 and TVS is 7459182 according to Squid, which appears the Birdsall is all over TVS, or at least applying a loose cover from astern The boat way out in front is a yello track so its not TVS which is light blue, looks like a boat that didn't make the start or something. This is really exciting, I wonder if 7409893 can cover 7459182, or if 7514867 will sneak through on the inside, or did I mean 7516748, or 7891234, or was that 123456? What would Pete Montomery say commentating on a race full of long numbers?

Guest
From Fast Lane at 1250 Small breeze filling in from SE, most of fleet at start of Motuihe Channel, It's a nice day and beats working. BY the way, some people are sending me pxts, for some reason I'm not getting them, if you know who it might be please ask them to send to 021 999
Guest
When I got to the Squadron this morning at 8.30 I deliberately packed an AP with the start kit cos there wasn't any wind. Then the little westerly sprang up just before the start and I thought what the heck and decided to send the fleet off. If I'd held them back we'd still be waiting for a start.
