Paravane or trained dolphin

I am not sure what it's actual technical term would be called, but it is a form of dagger board that is connected to the rig via a wire bridle. The dagger board "grabs" the water and the effort is put into forward motion. The "rocket" had a similar concept except that the dagger was fixed out on the end of a pole and could not be shifted forward. With this concept, the bridle can be adjusted in such a way that the dagger actually travels forward of the main boat. When I first saw the "rocket" i was convinced then that this type of system would be the one that would allow the greatest creation of speed. So little in the water for friction, and yet so much "grab" in the water as well, that the boat slips very little to leeward and all the energy is transfered to forward motion.
