markm 30
Squid, your browser isn't set up to know to open PDF files with Adobe. When the 'octet stream' thing comes up, there will be an option in the same window to 'save' or 'open with' and probably save is the selected option. Change to 'open with' and click ok. Then a second window will open listing a whole heap of things most of which appear to be written in hindustani but one will have 'adobe' or 'acrobat' in its name, select it and again click ok. That should do the trick, only needs to be done once and from thence on, you'll find lots of things you can now read on all sorts of sites you previously couldn't.

Guest
Unfortunately, I think they are screwed. There will always be a lot more breeze further west until the ridge and it is going to be a long way downwind to Fiji after the ridge for any boat caught out to the east
Fogg 427
So how's the fleet going? Have they reached Tiri yet?
Guest
Too foggy to see anything this morning, but had a very pleasant walk on the beach.
Jon 355
Its starting to look likely that the tricycle riders may get hungry before they get to Fiji Going on last nights mileage anyhow
Murky 1
Dear oh dear. Wired holding on to Camper - and the two BOI boats holding on to the Floyd - better than I would have anticipated.
NevP 0
Squid, if you're still having trouble downloading files from the sqaddy site and you're using Firefox it sounds like the same problem I have, and markm is on the right track. Not so much that Firefox doesn't recognise PDF files but when Firefox downloads the file it interprets spaces as the end of the file name. For example "AKL to Musket Cove SI Amendment One.pdf" becomes "AKL" and Firfox has no idea what to do with it. Simple fix is to right click and "save as" then rename it making sure it has a ".pdf" extension and it should then open no problem. Doesn't seem to be an issue for IE or Chrome.
