Jessica Watson is doing well on her bid to be the youngest to sail around the world. Just today, she successfully rounded Cape Horn.

Personally i didn't agree with her going but now that she's doing it big ups to her-

go girl!!!

She's looking a tad secondhand and well over 16 in the vid. Mind you wouldn't we all after ..... err a lot of days at sea.

Good to see she's still going strong.

Might be a few having to eat some of that Humble Pie at the rate she is going.

She seems in fine fettle for someone who has sailed 10000 miles non stop. Good on her. Did you notice in the vid her referring to "we've done it" several times. I guess she's acknowledging all the support she has received from sponsors, parents etc.

More likely her and the boat make up the "we". You get like that after a while.

Maybe she thinks she is royalty, if she does this, no doubt a "damehood" or whatever they call it is in the wings. Good on her, as I said, i didn't think she should go but i will gladly eat some pie to see her make it safely (ie with no search and rescue costs)

"Big meanies" would be a phrase that comes to mind. She has certainly faced sufficient challenges to make the grade in most people's eyes. Could this issue knot have been brought up while she was still north of the equator and before she turned south, if that was the critical section of the voyage that needed to be longer?

Another view would be that the controversy helps keep her in the headlines for this final leg.

You mean to say something happened and it wasn't a record?? I thought the result of everything these days was a record of some sort.

No pie for me Gents. Maybe I didn't judge the book by the cover ;)

I thought it was brilliant she disagreed with the Aussie PM that she was a hero. Shows strength of character to stick up for what you think in front of such a huge crowd.
