We used to repair Blackfun's bum and antifoul it in Westhaven using the pull it down and hold it technique. Scary how we could hold it down with one hand... Owners of the berths used to get a bit pissed off it they couldn't get back into their berth till the paint dried but a rum or two sorted that generally.

One year in Constitution Dock, Hobart, a couple of french guys swung from mast to mast of all the boats right around the dock.

Once witnessed a young American karate expert stand on the masthead of a 30' yacht and do the "karate Kid" pose...

Now beat that ... "wax on Wax off"

I was visiting the Weiti Boat Club near Whangaparoa not too long ago & they had a platform at the end of their jetty for replacing bulbs etc on the mast. I'm not sure how high the platform can take you, but it might be worth a call.

Speak to the office. The secuity staff can unlock it for you if you organise it properly.

The just don't want idiots using it and heaps of OSH paperwork explaining why you can't jump from the top into the water at low tide in a westerly where you could be blown onto the breakwater hard stuff.

Easterlies at high tide jumping westward => No Problems!!
