  1. Does that equate to trading while insolvent?
  2. Does it make sense for Burnsco to move from their current locale to J Pier - I'm not sure it does. They don't just supply to the private individual but also to industry players as I discovered when trying to secure a replacement item - the stock kept getting earmarked for an industry purchaser and it took a bit of extra "effort" for the staff on the floor to get me one. That said I buy (what little I actually do) from Burnsco on Mt Wellignton Highway and Smart Marine on Lunn Ave. and have nothing but good words to say about the staf in both shops. They will always get something in for y
  3. nice - I can see me loosing a bit of skin off my shins on that aft bracket in a blow. Maybe I'm just a clumsy bugger!
  4. if it wasn't aground you wouldn't be able to see it!
  5. Nah - if he was wearing a harness they wouldn’t have had anything to talk to!
  6. Looks like it might be a bit nasty on Sunday
  7. non-story. the racing circumnavigators have known this for decades. The only reason they don't is because they don't want to hit ice bergs, or be bothered threading the needle through the Cape Verdes Arch. - oh and the weather routing software!

It's coming from the EU - all you get is shades of grey!
  9. That is eye watering but conceivable. Surely all vessels in marinas now have even 3rd party Insurance to moor - I thought marinas were very strict on this now. I’m not a fan particularly but it would seem to me that AC for example should require all vessels to be 3rd party insured when ground rent is due, as a way of partially protecting against this sort of cost. Unfortunately the council is forced to use a contractor to scrap a vessel whereas the responsible and charitable thing to do is take responsibility for your own vessel. Have third part insurance, get some mates together one day
  10. That's the guy. You wire in a receiver to the panel. U am about to finally get around to wiring mine in.
  11. There was a guy in Aussie doing an aftermarket infrared remote. Can't remember his name sorry but will look it up when back in the country at the end of Jan.

Took a whole bunch to be camp site last summer. Yes it is still open and generally pretty quiet as the ferry services are now very limited.
  13. Rules that apply: RRS60.2 (a), Definitions – Conflict of Interest. Apparently BJ should have lodged.
  14. +1 on marital. I’m impressed with their gear. Also, just recharged a couple of batteries for a mate who left them in a shed by the river while away for 3 years. Ran them in my weed whacker and they bot( ran as long as my own.
  15. Same mo'a - I get a little bit less - on the back of a SP 3.6m inflatable.
  16. Chris - have you tried these guys for linseed oil pricing. I use them all the time for my bulk chemical requirements. http://www.tmkpackers.co.nz/index.php/site/product/boiled_linseed_oil
  17. Ballistic's fore beam measures at 122dia x 5.5t (mm).
  18. randii. The drawings I do have for the T9 show the int and main beam having short lenght burys. While they look similar the GBE and T9 are quite different. the GBE hulls are much narrower for their length than the T9. And so the fore beam clamps are much further apart and thus generate more fixity to the hull. sorry - keep forgeting to measure my beam - will try and remember tonight.
  19. I'll see what I've got on mine and on the build plant that I have.
  20. I wonder if you'd get enough torque? It's either that of a very loooooong extension cord!
  21. fastidious use of structural bog connecting those outriggers!
  22. ha - nice!
  23. 1st, 3rd and 4th for ETNZ sailors’ Ashby, Tuke and Burling. Not a bad effort for a bunch of big boat sailors!
  24. I had ultra on Euphoria in the river and it did okay. So much for a sunny day today. No priming that's for sure!
