Thats the date that the credit company sets. The alternative is to refund each entry individually in which case the club loses $1000+ in credit card commission on top of the thousands the club is going to haemorrhage over this. And I have to spend hours setting up internet banking payments for over 100 boats.
Thanks for the explanation

Refunds on the 20th November?
I hope that should be October

I was on that townson. Was a long slow race but we worked pretty hard. It suited us in the end. Iirc the race started Thursday, and prize giving was scheduled for the Sunday night. But at the appointed time I think only Vodafone was finished - the rest of us were still out there.
We held discussions on board OF about when the iron headsail was to be deployed so crew could make it to work in the morning (Monday morning). “We retire at 1am”... luckily the wind arrived at midnight, the kite went up and we sailed on, claimed monohull line honours and had rum for breakfast.

Shaggybaxter from SA hit a whale, the keel popped, no damage other than a whale looking for Panadol. Reset the keel and continued their sailing.
From his account the system works

When required on an entry form, my Hobie 18 goes by the name FIIGS
Yes, I did pinch the name from SA

This story was told to me about 40 years ago about a Cherub at the Australian Nationals
At the end of each days sailing, the results would be announced back at the club.
”First, Boat XYZ.... second, Boat ZYX.... Third, PORK HUNT”
They had to change the name of the boat after day two.

There seem to be a lot of boats DNF in the results

Bump... the new owner might enjoy reading this, it is a shame the images have been lost

Let’s see if I have this right....
You want to sail to New Zealand
You would like someone in New Zealand to buy a boat in Europe
You plan on taking 14 months to deliver the boat
You offer this service for free

Back in the day when I was lighter/smaller/with body parts that moved freely, the association in Australia had a mould that did the rounds of backyard builders.
Great boats, except for #2079... too heavy, too slow, blown out sails

Not sure what the sentence was but the non parole time was 17 years.
Stuff article says 17 year sentence...
Stuff needs to do some fact checking it seems

Parole is for early release isn’t it?
-
Quick question from the article...
sentenced in 1999 for 17 years, why is he still in jail?
-
Is it possible to program the control box to ignore that section of the reading?

Rehab... you seem to like down voting me, perhaps I should give you a reason
(Remembering grandma’s advice... If you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing)

If someone has a question and km.wheels answer and then original poster replies. The conversation can still continue after 5 posts by pm each other??
That defeats the purpose of a forum

I best say goodbye then, my brain tends to bounce ideas around, if I didn’t post them immediately then they are lost forever
This receives a down vote from rehab... Why?

Then the restriction will also be good for training people to ask clear, concise, well contructed questions, and for others to give clear, complete considered responses.
Kinda like a bag limit, but different.

Disagree. They can be attended too the following day.
It's very unlikely a member would have more than the the sum off restrictions imposed during any two day period.
Members like knotme and wheels often have very good advice and they will then answer questions and add another post as they have remembered something
If they have to wait 24 hours to post, will they remember to do so?

Five posts...that could restrict discussion to the detriment of the site.
Thinking of threads where help is asked for, thanks are given, questions raised and answered... That would quickly use up 5 posts.
Restricting posts to a number of threads per day might be a better solution.
One down, four to go

Thanks
Funny times we are in, it seems some are struggling with lock down more than others.
As an infrequent poster here I am surprised I am interesting enough to have a follower. One guess who that might be....

A new thread is required to discuss that subject please.
No need for a new thread and thanks for the down vote, I do believe it is the first one I have ever received.

Yellow is the colour.
An “I like” would be appreciated as a apology.
Cheers.
Be kind.
Maybe this is what you mean?
