  1. That doesn’t help me understand the original post, can someone please translate
  2. Is that a Golf? The trailer must be balanced!
  3. Do unread topics started by an ignored member still appear in the unread content?
  4. If using an iPad, the above icon disappears if you have the font size NOT set to 100%
  5. Is there an option so clicking on the thread title takes me to the first unread post rather than page one? Clicking on the circle achieves this but I sometimes miss!
  6. Tie downs size could be a bit bigger for some added peace of mind. Are you meeting half way?
  7. A tie to stop the middle of the mast from bouncing too far might be worthwhile Safe travels
  8. If colour is not important there are sometimes some strange ones in the clearance cart at my local Bunnings
  9. You must pay more attention than I do.. I only look at the pictures
  10. Is there evidence of trolling? I would be inclined to let it ride until you have evidence that one of the accounts is for nefarious purposes
  11. And each line had different tax applicable, a trap for the inexperienced when entering into the accounts system. For added fun.. the freight forwarder’s GST total used a rounding system that must have been based an rolling a dice.
  12. Yes, the different sized A’s will change the page size. Some things disappear but will be there at 100%. (I found it by accident)
  13. If you look at the page with expanded text on an iPad, the unread content button disappears. I view most pages at 115%.. might be a sign I need my eyes checked
  14. Is this the F40 that broke in half 5(?) years ago?
  15. Luckily most yachts sail on the river OR offshore, although some may move between locations for a series but will be berthed at the host club for the duration. Lowering the mast is usually only done once on any given day, The Farr was based at Fremantle for the winter series, the Cole was heading to Rottnest Island for a couple of weeks cruising.
  16. Mast support when mast is lowered far enough to clear the bridges
  17. Farr 9.2 (?) fractional rig, much easier to grind back to vertical The 60' Siska was the biggest I saw with a mast hinge (Stupid iPad must know I am from down under)
  18. Cole 32... Mast head rig, approaching the bridges, ready to drop
  19. Attach two spinnaker poles to strong points out wide, poles attach to a large ring and a 4:1 (or greater) pulley system which runs aft to a winch. Use some halyards to take the pressure off the forestay, move forestay to the large ring. Undo the bolts at the front of the hinge and start to lower the mast. Apply some pressure on the backstay to get the mast moving aft, then let gravity do the rest. Rate of descent is controlled by the winch. For a higher degree of difficulty all of this is done while motoring on a river shared by large power boats which don't follow the No Wake rule
  20. This one has the hinge for lowering the mast to get under bridges. Very useful feature for Perth.
  21. Hugo Boss has hit something
  22. Thread drift alert.... Knowing how to balance the helm is a great tool, especially when the auto pilot is not playing the game. A couple of years ago I did a delivery of an old wooden clunker from Batemans Bay to Wollongong The wind was just off the nose for the second part of the trip from Ulladulla. The skipper had jumped off with the other two crew and had been replaced by the skippers nephew who had fished a bit offshore but had never sailed. 12 hours after leaving Ulladulla we were only just past Jervois Bay, the nephew was feeling a little better and was able to stand hi
  23. For $90 I would expect a gasket and bolts.... Tell him he's dreaming!
