  5. Thats a great shot. That Gennaker is still going strong today! Shame the RnB doesn't get out much these days. We would have some great racing I think.
  6. You are probably absolutely right! Launched in 1998. Going as well now as it did back then. It must have been a hell of a head turner 20 years ago!

I think it was a race that definitely favored waterline length/faster boats, however, definitely agree that there were plenty of tactical decisions to make that affected the outcome of your result.We knew we were always fighting against the odds in an upwind race but were pleasantly surprised by our result.   10. Was definitely pretty willing conditions. Full main and rum race jib on down the harbour. Cruising along nicely at 8 - 9 knots with the odd burst up to 12 knots. Got a little exciting as we rounded North Head and closed in on Rough Rock. The fleet had compressed quite a bit at this point and we had a pretty healthy 22 + knots with a couple of gybes to do. Had some near misses with some boats that were in marginal levels of control haha. Managed to get a reef in on the run down to rough rock, gybed around the mark and settled in for the long beat home.
