Assume it simply is vessel details etc...whereas B&G programmed from linked MFD or compatible instrument?
-
So IT B&G unit would be plug and play? Could you please expand on the need to program via pc?
-
Anyone see any "do not go there" known issues with the above combos?
-
One problem that imho appears quite clear here are people's perceptions...

Okay so who and how many are on the wait list?

I'm lost already...

YNZ Race Regulations Cat1-Cat5; Anomalies and concerns
splat replied to DrWatson's topic in MarineTalk
ahhh most chartplotter/ fishfinder combos (MFDS) are readily customised to suit user preferences including very large digits for depth, COG, Temp, time DTD, DTW, cross track error etc. Trouble in NZ is that the trailer boat market dominates ( 4-8 metre fishers) and there is little specialised sailing orientated stuff other than B&G IMHO. If you want depth then you could simply get Garmin, Simrad/B&G or advansea or similar instrument package with large number/illluminated displays. There is no reason to suffer with shitty hard to read displays. Most new units will link via wifi to a sui -
Agree... the truxtanium and the green machine still look like they are going to run into it....will be a long beat for the others methinks

it is in todays YNZ breifings...articles on Sally Garrett and also motorboat...why the negativity... on another note. A 17 year old kiwi girl Alice Robinson has just won the Alpine skiing Giant Slalom Junior World champs at her first attempt- a significant victory.

Nelson has a maximum of three liveaboard boats per finger for passive security reasons as I understand it....no gates but also still run via a Council CCO, not a private company. They have a clear mandate from Council … I mean where else can you get a 10 metre berth for 220 a month. 2 year wait list though

Anecdotally, just after this course I was at home on a Sunday night with my wife who had was ill and was on antibiotics ..she took the last tablet of her antibiotic course and had an anaphylactic reaction to her last tablet.... thanks to the course above I immediately asked her what she had taken...fed her a few antihistamines and called the ambulance service....who then triaged us and asked us to make it into the 24 hr clinic on our own...helpful not... she was now semi-conscious...not a good look. The kids and I got her to ED where she was diagnosed with extremely low blood pressure and admi

Wow....why all the negativity? A few observations from the deep south. kudos too RAYC putting a new longer distance coastal/offshore race into the calendar the RAYC race tracker like all 'free trackers' is only as good as the network coverage....it is great to view but can't be relied on for position reports as soon as the phone is used for something else such as a social media post Instagram, soundcloud, facebook, myspace....oops I moved the kettle blah blah.... it will drop out resulting in some very odd routing. I think a great way to keep the followers informed are the 'after race

With propspeed it is very easy to wash or scrub off the final coat. Do not waterblast or use scouring pad at all as it will damage and remove the the 'slippery coating'. My suspicion is it was blasted off hence the growth.

Hi Team I'm pretty sure No Worries and Pepe can run an inner jib inside gennaker or code sails if they wish. Questions are as follows: What is optimum foot length? Sheeting detail? Deck intersection detail, strengthening? Rope eye? Do's and don'ts? Any other relevant tips and tricks Cheers
