Swapped flasher unit but not too sure it's worked. As the right hand case is off the motor and it has no fluids I can't run it for long and unless it's running I have no power to check lectrics. But the few seconds I have had it running the lights are now off but I didn't see any flash. I have left it as is until I put the motor back together this weekend and can run it properly. I have the resistors as well now so if it doesn't work I'll try them. It's a full on MX machine that's had a wee tickle to make it road legal but they put average size indicators on it so when going hard core dir

Is that a centercase still in Ballistic? If you think she is open mine would come as a shock. A photo taken from the same place would look just the same as long as you removed the case, galley, cupboards, nav station, shelves, light fitting, wood trim, squabs, warning sign, leecloths, lectronics panel, 50% of the dome nuts and widen the gap between the bunk fronts a fair bit. You can leave the paint and windows.....and add in some substantial ribs around the top of the keel plus a slightly bigger box under the bulkhead opening which contains part of our MMBU system and a small bilge pump.
  3. This is a political thread. Consistency please, move this one as well.
  4. 4 items all being sold in NZ right this moment. 1 - 8mm zinc plated steel joining link 2 - 6mm everyday chain commonly seen in the plastic buckets at M10, Bumblings etc (at a bullshit plus turbo price by the way) 3 - 10mm Stainless Steel joining link 4 - 12mm Polyprop 3 strand rope, that's the cheap floating sh*t I hope none of you have on bugger all bar your trailer tarps and maybe your dingy List them in order of strength, strongest to weakest
  5. 100% correct. Anything used not as designed can fail unexpectedly. Also which clips are they These ones or these ones Those hooks above just used as an example. They may look identical but are they? Often they aren't. There are a LOT of products claiming to be something they aren't and a LOT of products that are bloody good visual knock-offs, note the word 'visual' as in look the same but do not perform the same. The industry is awash with them and a lot are being sold by 'names' in the game who should know better. I would also suggest using some caution with Practic
  6. Tamure is 100% correct. I buy good motorbike gear that is more comfy to wear for 1/2 the price, often less, of name brand boating gear but that's not why I buy it. I buy it as traditional boat wet gear lets water in when in shity 20kts, motorbike gear doesn't when water is slammed in to it at 85 knots. But a Kaiwaka Windtec short sleeve vest is my boat 'go to'. I tend to fall off boats (and lately marinas) a lot so I tend to dress with taking a wee swim in mind.
  7. Your hopes and dreams are alive and well, yes you have misinterpreted the post. I think judging by recent history there is a group whose 'Go to' when confronted by even the most itsy bitsy tenny weeny hint of not being 101% sure of what someone is saying should be 'Have I misinterpreted XYZ's post. Shall I ask for clarification or should I just STFU?'. It's what I do and it very quickly clears it all up...when the response is not just bullshit as many can be. The term biomass has become a homonym...... and very very valuable. Maybe there are other ways of looking at by-catch and uses for
  8. No idea what your disagreeing with but that's not unusual these days. Leases website, where is this thing you mention? I think ya mates stumbled on a CC mitigation assistance without knowing it. He reckons catching excess biomass is bad but the IPCC reckon biomass is one of the things to use to reduce CO2. Biomass production is also worth freaking moonbeams. Is someone missing a potential link that while still not ideal could benefit the planet?

Yeap my came with a headline and a tail light but no indicators. You can buy LED headlights now that are virtual spotlights compare to the old school, I might pimp that at some stage later. It would be good to have good lights as I can't imagine the road lighting around Ararua is that great....or even exists I went deep last night and think I have found the flasher unit. It's a small alloy can 30mm di x 20mm with some asian writing on it, plugging into a socket that has 3 wires coming out of it, no identifying names or numbers. On sussing the wiring diagramme it is not native to the bike
  10. Who is 'they'? You're confusing me as to what the desired outcome it is you want. So legacy is saying take all quota off everyone and then have a Govt Dept lease 'A quantity for XYZ species' to those boats who want to fish it. In that way stocks are managed better with more oversite and less costs as the boat that fishes gets to sell to whomever where ever they like. Oh and cameras on all boats all at the boats cost. Is that the guts of it? I genuinely have no idea what your talking about or your end goal but are trying to understand. As I deal with recreational and commercial f
  11. Fine as long as the lease costs do not just replace the quota costs. What protections are there a Govt struggling for coin just doesn't say 'Lease is $10 per kg'? As we have seen Govts have no problem charging above and beyond when they know they are a monopoly. Sure under this Govt not much will change as it's been brought off but what if the Fishos can't buy the Govt. What's the plans there? I think you need to speak to some of the small fisherman to see how they see the cameras. Also ask around to see what the cameras have already generate and if any involve Worksafe. The cameras are w

Oh, young W and his bike got cleaned out in Wednesday evening on his way home. Some stupid old bitch with a face that looks like the arse end of a cow mid birth, was texting and nailed the pair of them. Bike is a write off as is W's full leather gear but we found out he bounces real well so nothing broken but most is black n blue. It showed wearing proper safety gear is well worth the coin. It's time we shot a few txters live on TV...or at least have a season on them. A bag limit of 3 each would do the trick I think.

I am hoping it's more than simple concrete, I have a sh*t load at home I could have used Yes according to the spiel they are 'for use in old motorbike systems when changing to LED indicators'. There is another for head and tail lights, which I suspect is a bigger wattage. The lights etc are a none standard install, WRF's are full on MX machines so don't have lights, horns and things needed on the road. The dude I brought it off is like you, has to fiddle but comes up with some serious good sh*t when he does so the gear he put on was done pretty well...bar it being a bit dangerous w
  15. My understanding after a chat with a NRO is that people, poles, bowsprits, anchors and all that now do not count on the line, starting or finishing, it's only the hull itself. That's going to make race management fun and the protests quite exciting. The Rule 14 change is both good and bad. I'll stop a few of the recidivist pantystains that use their bows and known ignorance as a weapon but it'll also stop some of the real fun close 1/4's battling.
  16. Isn't the petition a waste of time when the fishing industry OWN the Deputy PM, Ministers and a good handful of MP's? Also is it lazy fishers or fishers under huge cost pressures forcing some to engage in shonky practices? The dudes pulling fish over the rials get f*ck all compared to everyone else so maybe it's a simple case of taking the masses of ticket clippers out of the system. People not scrambling for the next $1 do have more time to think about how they do their job and what they do or don't have to keep. A lot of the smaller boats were bailing out due to the cameras. Not so
  17. Some of the 200 odd new race rules are nudging the WTF? category. Projections now don't count on start or finish lines, I feel sorry for the race officials as that will cause some fun n games.

Ah ha, that all makes sense. It's a lot easier to understand that hocus pocus when you actually hands on with it. So fitting the 21W option, the one that notes heat build up, wouldn't be a worry for me as I wouldn't be pushing 21W though them but the 5W could be as it must be pushing twice that to run the old 10W bulbs. That the right thinking? The resistors I have coming say they are concrete, which seems a bit Ya What??? From Aussie so maybe a translation issue I can't find the flasher unit on the bike and stuff is jambed in weird places. There is some pile of stuff jambed up whe
  19. I'm Ducing it to the farm next week to meet the builders so I'd like to have the Karoo 3's on when I go but busy days so we'll see. Ah ha, you're right the 250 are only 12", bigger would be nicer but it is not much more than a scooter with the looks even a mother may struggle to love so not a biggie

WR250F, a full noise dirt beast which the previous owner stuck some indicators on and made it road legal. It's handy for a 7am Sunday zip into the black block of West Rodney to burn a tank of dinosaurs on the gravel and many 'paper roads' out that way. It will be moving north shortly to live on the farm and spend its days ya hooing around the back blocks of mid northland, yes Steve it's coming at you :) :) But when plying in the dirt indicators get wiped out fast and can also remove body parts so when heading into the bush the indicators have to come off. But I found a set of micro LED o
  21. Swapped incandescent to LED and now they either don't flash or flash that fast you can't see the flash. Memory is telling me I need to add a load resistor to trick some black box into waking up, all good on that. Off went the 12V 10W globes. Locally all I can find is 12V 21W or 12V 5W load resistors. I'd prefer local and the 5W as they are a lot smaller. Does anyone know if the 5W will do the business or how to work out what will?

My thoughts exactly 😄😄😄 I have a new 9.9hp 4S short shaft standard, which is the same as the 15 I'm told. It's not light but then I'd not call it that heavy either, awkward is a word I would use. It replaced a 9.9hp 4S long shaft Hi-Thrust, that is a heavy bitch and long makes it even more so. The new one has a Hi thrust prop fitted so it's 1/2 way between a std and the Hi thrust but without all the xtra weight. Note I'm looking for push rather than speed. 4 strokes are a bit heavier but a LOT cleaner, quieter, economical and only needs one fuel can not a can plus bottle plus mixing
  25. Those Aprillas are going well but I suspect a few don't realise who now makes them, not that it should matter if they are going well as to do. I like the styling on their bigger roadie. Went to give the Ruckus, the PS250, for a hoon but the key wouldn't turn. A slightly embarrassed team took it downstairs to sort it so I'll pop back later. In real life it is a quirky for sure. I saw a pit bike of steroids that appears to be build more as a Mad Max battle wagon support vehicle than a urban commuter. It's got shocks in weird places, tie down points like you see on army transports, some
