I recall staying at a motel in little shoal bay as a kid, and stumbling across a Canadian couple who had sailed here in a big Wharram. I think it was 46 feet. I think it was Canadian. ex TL systems 63 Posted March 25, 2015 Share Posted March 25, 2015 I have had a couple of Wharram Oros at 46 ft, Many armchair experts will tell you that they won,t go to windward etc etc, I was pleasantly surprised with both of them , even the one that only had a temporary 30ft mast would sail at 8 knots plus and the other one with a decent rig would do over 12 and often hold a course without any autopilot. They are great simple cruising boats as long as you don,t mind having to go outside when going from one part of the boat to another, not so good when its raining. Link to post Share on other sites
