Richmond 2 Posted June 2, 2015 Share Posted June 2, 2015 Come celebrate the legendary Auckland yachtie Flap Martinengo in RYC’s “around Rangitoto” race, the Flap Martinengo Memorial Race. This is a Saturday day race and includes a circle of Motuihe island as well. This year we’re racing it in the winter, Saturday 13 June, just to add a bit of challenge! Legend has it that Flap raced Namu as such a bare boat that he had to carry a kettle around to beg tea from his competition once the anchor was down.
