Battgirl 23 Posted May 24, 2017 Share Posted May 24, 2017 Last Friday night the Squadron was sold out and packed out for Conrad's talk. He has put the video on his Fb page. Extra things I learned about this crazy awesome Kiwi sailor and his Vendee - When he spent that day up the mast sorting out the reefing, a big bag of his main had blown around to the front of the mast after the cars had come off so he had to sort that out first. He lost 11kg after running out of food. When the mast came down he phoned his wife who, after confirming Conrad was not injured and the boat was in one piece, just told him to get some sleep. He put the jury rig weighing 85kg up 3 times using only bags of sails to increase the vertical because he wasn't happy with the sails. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

He said he would really like Hugo Boss, thinks that's the way Vendee design is heading.
