Clipper 343
Thanks DYC, was an awesome sail yesterday. Pretty uncomfortable beat from rangi light to top of motutapu, then a scorching reach across to motuihe. Small kite up and half a dozen gybes to make it down to finish. GPS track tells me 27.7nm in 2.5 hours at an average of 11. And Dirty Deeds was slightly faster than that! And I think you are right, I don't think I have ever started on the same line as a classic! GregW 28
Voom and deeds looked great when I saw you wizzing past Browns Island. Do you have a furler on that kite?
Clipper 343
no furler, but i was flying it on the screecher tackline, so it had the furling unit on the tack, but that was just to make the swap easy.
Clive 13
Thanks DYC! Great fun. Well done Ken - you deserved that win mate. It's not easy in that wind/sea state to do a lot, I had coffee, lunch etc but I sure as hell was not going to let go of the helm/sheets to enjoy them!
