old wooden cat crossing the bridge?

Recommended Posts

saw an old 30'? wooden? cat crossing the bridge today on an over-sized trailer with pilot vehicle

at first thought it was David Barker's first boat Sundancer....not that have ever seen that, and it is apparently already up north

hulls were like a big tornado, very deep up front, then tapering right down

anyone identify this?

nothing on google

but his book pg 86 shows a beautiful looking 24' design his brother stretched out to 26' called vitesse in 1962

similar with the rounded bridgedeck

but the lines below seem to show skegs, not seen on trailer boat ^

Erice yes it could be Vitesse  .

Competed in many cruising and harbour races with Glendowie Yacht Club in the 70's . We regularly had 12 yachts  racing in both the A and B divisions. It  was a Greg Young design owned at the time by Rolly Grifith, if my  memory is correct . Duncan ( cookie) would know more about it .
