May not of change seamanship or lack but launching ramps etc have improved from registration. You race a yacht needs to be registered so whats the problem?? behave and there is no issue. In the process of getting offshore registry to travel offshore. Last time I was in Florida on a friend's boat we were stopped three times in 1.5 miles by three different branches of law enforcement.
