Battleship 100
Going to hanks or a furler?
smithy09 50
Gone to Hanks before the last RNI. Better for 2 handed racing, although I am not 100% convinced! Tried to sell it but no-one interested so Crew get first dibs!!
Battleship 100
We went to hanks, along with a reefing Jib pretty good, changing to a no.1 is a pain though.
smithy09 50
Yeah, those reefing jibs are great. 2 for the price of 1!! Changing headsails with hanks is slow. Big advantage is you don't lose the sail over the side. If I did it all again I would go for multiple roller furling headsails. Great for 2 handed offshore..
splat 55
Smithy could this be cut down to fit my boat? Reason I ask is my twin foil which looks very similar is pretty tired and I haven't killed all my foil type headies....yet
smithy09 50
You can easily cut it down. Just a hacksaw job. Forestay might be a bit loose in the groove depending on diameter. Foil is in pretty good nick. Had no issues with it in the first RNI. Yours if you want it!! PM me for Ph no and address. Cheers!
