2018 South Island IOM Championships 26th & 27th May

Recommended Posts

There are 13 Aucklanders flying on Friday to attend this regatta at Lake Pegasus, north of Christchurch.

Looks like 30 boats entered.

We are racing under the "Simple Heat Racing System" as a warm for the Nationals at Wattle Farm Labour weekend.

The weather could be a bit better for us north islanders. ;-)

Well done. What was the second days weather like? Also, I see you sail a v8. I do too. Do you know if there is any good tuning guides available for them? Have ians, but would like something a bit more indepth. And where/when do you guys usually sail at NMMS? Thanks

Final day's results.

The first day was sailing in heats and Sunday morning we where split into Gold & Silver heats.

Bad final sailing sailing for the Sloop, race 1 weed on the keel - last place gold heat, race 2 broke the jib boom on the first run dnf,

Wind got up the fleet changed to B rigs, so bad tuning then it was down to C rigs for a couple of race and the last race back to B rigs.

Great sailing venue Lake Pegasus.

Another win for Ian Vickers.
