Compulsory Licensing would have prevented this!

Recommended Posts

What is wrong with wearing gumboots on a boat?

There was obviously some sort of water ingress, story didn't give any details about the size or type of boat. Sounds like they just left the bung out and it sank...

Not the first time that's happened.

Of course the lack of life jackets does point to some issues - that line is banged into everyone at every opportunity.

good they got some fish though aye?

Yes compulsory licensing works well! just look at the car drivers licensing, no one ever speeds, crosses centre lines, over takes in the wrong place, go through red lights, runs from the police etc.

And that is with 9004 sworn police

Regards the licencing, lets look at what happened here:

3 guys went fishing

they all got wet

They caught enough fish to take one home each

Coastguard / emergency services were not required.

Where is the issue?  I don't see one.

I always like to refer to Darwains theory, if you are too thick to own a boat, nature will sort it out. These guys don't own a boat now.......

Easy. A builder and his mate went fishing when the rest of us had to work. And to quickly get in before those that say fishing, meeh, replace the word fishing with " out on the water". ;-)
