John B 106
We anchored in Kaiarara the same season as the ex tc that did all the damage a few years ago. When you think of all that timber washed down its amazing that there aren't more anchor hook ups that we have. Heard about a few epic ones, pulled a 20 ft forked bough up last year ourselves. But the interesting thing that happened to me was the alteration in the makeup of the silt, we had old chain just at that rusty look stage and when we hauled that up , there was a chemical reaction going on you could see , just like metal in a rust solution, vinegar or something. The old chain went bright.
