Black Panther 1,568
So last time I came back from Fiji I was told there would be new rules regarding hull fouling next time I went away. I just had a look at the website and all I could find was that they would ask for "records" of cleaning and hull maintenance. So I rang the 0800 number to find out what "records" might mean. Couldn't tell me and was unable to give me the number of the department that might be able to help. I will not have any commercial type documentation as i intend to do what I have always done, which is jump over and give it a scrub before leaving. Anyone have any idea what documentation I can supply to keep them happy?
Beccara 25
https://www.mpi.govt.nz/importing/border-clearance/vessels/arrival-process-steps/biofouling/yachts-and-recreational-vessels/ Have you had a look here? Sounds like some video of the in water cleaning would be the best bit. Focus on the hidey holes they point out and receipt or ship log entry of when the last AF was done along with what type etc etc
Adrianp 116
We arrived with a clean bottom and showed them a entry in the log book that we had cleaned the boat ourselves the week before we left. I think the key is to arrive clean!

"you should meet the CRMS requirements by providing evidence that the entire hull, including niche areas, has been cleaned less than 30 days before arrival" So passages of more than 30 days are now illegal?? In other news, Webb Chiles yesterday completed his 6th circumnavigation in his Moore 24, arriving in San Diego after a 46 day passage from Panama. https://my.yb.tl/gannet http://self-portraitinthepresentseajournal.blogspot.com/2019/04/san-diego-six.html
Black Panther 1,568
But it takes 18 hours to sail from Fraser island to customs dock Brisbane. Maybe my fan worms will abandon ship on the way there
Steve Pope 243
BP give town basin a ring, I popped in to see if you had arrived, the lady there had no record of "BP" she said for you to contact them as they are pretty full, they are putting sleeves over the poles at Kissing point (????) and have probably moved yachts up to the TB, leaving the poles empty of boats so they can get o with the sleeves.
