The virus is not only spread by particulate person to person. It survives on surfaces as well,  up to 72 hours, so can be spread with no one else present at any set time.

The problem us not only how it's spread but who's carrying it without symptoms and how you handle stuff and then what you do with your hands after touching stuff.
