Erice i would prefer the introduction of financial transactions tax.

Clark= dead man walking. I was thinking the PM should take him off the party list. The only way back in is to win yuur electorate. Good luck with that

many would

certainly will get a lot of airtime

maybe even a few committees will be given enough, to build a hundred state-houses, to explore the creation and operation of a new tax-beast

and make it work without capital flight

maybe they'll go full-chavez + bring back capital controls the likes of muldoon's + zimbabwe...........nah....

or

there's the tool, already hanging in the shed

invented by labour, used by national

and tempered by earthquake recovery

time will tell

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goods_and_Services_Tax_(New_Zealand)

labour will aim to soften the blow by more targeted handouts

something championed by bill english before he was thrown out for wanting to raise the pension age

but it wouldn't be politically expedient to follow that line far ...

A heavy tax on ownership of second, third forth ... Houses would sort all theses thousands of lock and leave people. Who are profiting while depriving people the opportunity to own property...

Having said that if NZ Govt's gave better investment options to produce a return on our saved money people would not flock to property.

when governments have tried to control food distribution

the results have been  low choice + poor quality at best, and famine and the deaths of millions at worst

even north korea now knows allowing farmers to profit from their labours produces the most food

do you propose the government also control housing construction + distribution?

would you like labour to double-down on kiwibuild???

what could possibly go wrong?

maybe when clark's out of a job

he can take-over from twitford

so twitford can concentrate more on the debacle of light rail with 100 stops to the airport

how hard can it be to produce top quality homes

at rock bottom prices?

taxing our way to greatness!

0.1% at a time

(otherwise known as death by a thousand cuts)

.

?... I'm talking taxing multiple home ownership. Not construction..

Labour have proven they cant organise a (piss up in a pub.) Let alone housing

would this also be the end of franchises?

instead of bunnings and macdonalds

we could go back to hardware stores on corners

with greasy spoons in-between
