I've seen you stooging around out there. Doing some fishing over the worm beds? Aren't you getting bored yet?

If your in Tindals again tonight I might paddle by.

Popped out of the harbour for a wee sail yesterday. Wind was slowly filling in and looked promising but died away about halfway to Motiti so returned to Matakana Is for lunch and a coffee before slowly making my way back to my berth on glassy water. Spent all last weekend on the harbour too.. 👍

poor simon

suffering the same fate as;

goff, cunliffe and little

politicians are like babies

they need changing often

+ for the same reason

however unlike america

our politics offer a 2nd life

if simon chooses to stick it out

and not go all sulky

like cunliffe

Shows u the power of TV exposure  I was surprised with all the exposure for more than 30 consequitive days labour and JA where not considerably higher. National only have themselves to blame they have not announced any real socialist policies or packages of any substance.

I warned him but he totally ignored the warning same with the greens.

The people r hurting, infrastructure like hospitals, schools, accommodation, benefits, care for the elderly, people that have lost their jobs, sewage, safe drinking water, safe harbours, beaches for swimming and water activities all need  fixing and support , immigration needs to be put on hold for a minimum of 3 years seeing NZ has reached 5 million population  now is not the time to be talking tax reductions, exports need to increase dramatically, some indirect taxes need to be increased, private GPs need further relief or their will be considerable closures in that sector. Repayment of the borrowings will need carefully planning and management. Labour at the moment r the only political party heading along that road. It is going to b a long haul for all.

They've gone and got a new stale male to replace the old stale male. Seems to make about as much sense as getting a dacron cross cut mainsail to replace your bagged out dacron cross cut main sail...

Nikki Kaye on the other hand would have been a breath of fresh air as the leader, rather than the smiling and nodding omnipresent deputy. it just looks like a continuation of the patriarchal National party.

She has defeated one Jacinda Ardern in the Auckland Central electorate, not once but twice. That is why Jacinda had to move over and adopt Helen Clarke's old electorate in Mt Albert. She also bet the incumbent for Auckland Central, one Judith Tizard for Auckland Central, breaking a 90 yr winning streak for left wing parties in the seat. I would have thought if National wanted anyone right now, it would have been someone with the track record of defeating Jacinda Ardern.

And in terms of real life experience, she has beaten breast cancer recently with a double mastectomy, and is a competitive athlete, most recently having completed the Coast to Coast for the third time, completing the solo 2 day event in Feb 2020.

And the other thing that bugs me, the new guy seems to look a lot like Christopher Luxon, whom everybody thought was going to be the next leader of the National Party. But I think thatis because they are both bald. Still, it seems hard to differentiate them in any other way.

I dont see too many JA supporters coming back to a party led by a conservative catholic trump fan who's social views are formed by catholic faith.

I dont think he will do any better than Simon and probably worse.

Labour does need a capable opposition to be keep them in check but I dont think Muller is the man for the job.

It will be interesting to see how he tracks but a sad indictment on kiwi's if he does get any traction.
