The first paragraph of my post describes where my views come from. "a party led by a conservative catholic trump fan who's social views are formed by catholic faith."

and this.....

Nice - a "pied piper-esque" -  but hey - at least your not alone!

"I got one of those, and I got a Hillary Clinton badge. I've got them both in my office. But for some reason, the Hillary Clinton badge never gets looked at. Everyone sees the MAGA cap and somehow reaches a conclusion that perhaps is where my sympathies lie."

Except this, from the hearald;

"He is a huge fan of American politics – he went over to the US in 2016 for the Donald Trump campaign."

Anyone who thinks American politics are great should be in an asylum,  not in charge of a NZ political party!

Oh - help me - you guys - you're just too much!

The only time "American Politics" is mentioned in that "story" if you can call it that - is that one line. A singlular, stand alone opinion comment,  by a self appointed Herald "political reporter" no less!

A politcian studying democratic pollitics - and you think thats worthy of sectioning - careful IT - you're about to follow Sabre to the edge!

I need to go get another beer - the comedy show here - next you'll  be telling me that Jacinda's brand of socialism will be the one that will - finally - get it right!

Smile while you can  as Jacinderella and the wicked step sisters  sell our financial souls to the devil of World Bank / IMF and god knows who else. Since the 50's / 60's NZ has known  nothing like the current borrow / spend up. Paid for by growth says Robertson . How ?  The best outlook seems to be an earth shattering world wide recession .We've fallen down the big hole of bottomless debt just like using one credit card to repay the other one adding massive interest as you go.  And for the 100th time I'm no National party gofer

Some of you have really fallen for Nationals relentless campaigns of mis-information about Labours fiscal management.

Who started our superanuation fund that is now worth 44 billion? Who suspended government contributions into it and then started to tax it? Who started Kiwisaver that now has 60 billion invested?

Who introduced 16 new taxes and levy's during their last 3 terms in office?

Here some numbers that Im sure wont many anything to the die hard nationalists around here but ah well....

Clark's fifth Labour Government reduced debt from 22.6 per cent of GDP in 2000 to 5.5 per cent in 2008.

That same Labour Government went from a $386 million deficit in 2001, to a $2.8b surplus in 2008.

During Key's National Government, debt as a percentage of GDP went from 9.1 per cent in 2009 to 24.6 per cent in 2016.

And wait for it.......... but John Key had the GFC.

Did that wipe out our biggest earner overnight?

That is so Hamilton .  Just no Ford or Holden caps or flags from Bathurst and the Hamilton 400 or selfies with Scott McLaughlin .

He will have a lot of appeal to middle New Zealand i think .

Armchair that's not what the report states .How on earth you come to the conclusion in your post is beyond disbelief. Have u been hitting the run bottle again.

Muller's opening address was not inspiring at all and totally lacking detail.
