Vivaldi 53
Hi All, This is my first boat with a freezer; a quick google tells me that -18 is the ideal temperature for a freezer - but’s that’s for safely freezing food long term, is that necessary for a week away on the boat? What temperature do others use for their freezers? Cheers
Black Panther 1,566
When the ice cream stays hard. Then meat and everything else stays frozen.
Bad Kitty 249
Set at -15 on Bad Kitty from memory
Island Time 1,211
-15 minimum for icecream. Without icecream you'll be fine for a week, even at -5. Long term min safe temp is -15, but my neighbor who is a food safety specialist says -18 to -21 is ideal.
